Jon Marans
Jon’s law practice includes representation of public and privately-held business entities and business owners in various business transactions and other business matters. Our clients are located throughout the US and many conduct business internationally. Representative matters include mergers and acquisitions; business finance and investment-related matters; purchases, sales, and licensing of intellectual property and other assets; entity formation and governance and drafting various other business-related agreements and documents. Jon is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. We associate with other specialists and local counsel as necessary, depending on the specific issues our clients face and the laws of the jurisdictions where those matters must be addressed.
Jon received his Juris Doctor degree from Villanova Law School, Magna Cum Laude, and is a member of the Order of the Coif. He received his undergraduate from The Pennsylvania State University with High Distinction and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Society, the oldest academic honor society in the United States.
Jon was recognized by Super Lawyers and has received various other honors for achievements within the legal industry.
Personal
Jon is a husband, father of two, occasional youth baseball coach, and an active member of his community. He has volunteered pro-bono legal and non-legal services to various civic and community organizations throughout the tri-state area. In addition to his service to various business, trust, and other entity boards and committees, Jon has served on various boards for charitable and community organizations. In his free time, you'll often find Jon enjoying the great outdoors while mountain biking throughout Wissahickon Park.Â
Speaking/Lectures
Although personal and community activities have reduced his recent availability for speaking events, Jon has participated in multiple educational presentations, including lecturing entrepreneurs on corporate structure, asset protection, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transactions and legal issues.
